Free

There are many ways people would describe freedom.  But I am not speaking of financial freedom, freedom of speech or freedom to live as one pleases. I am speaking about Spiritual freedom.

The dictionary describes freedom in a few ways:
A)     The state of being free or at liberty rather than confinement.
B)      To make choices free from certain kinds of constraints.
C)      Liberation from slavery or restraint or from the power of another.

The kind of freedom I need is the everlasting kind, which only Jesus can give.  I am so glad to know my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He has set me free from so many burdens.

When Christ has given you freedom no man can take that away, no man can shut the door that Christ opened to you. I love to hear the voice of God through his servants. I love when he speaks to me about my circumstances and he always let me know to stop my doubting to continue moving with trust.

So many individuals are trying to subdue their pain with drugs, anti-depressants and formulas of all kinds. I say why not try a sample of Jesus. This joy, peace and freedom he will give you cannot be bottled and put on the shelf for sale. Because the solution(s) he has is specifically for your life and circumstance(s).

I use to be a slave to this world. Reforming to what people say. Worrying about what to do to please them. I was a slave to self-hatred, doubt, fear; self motivated emotions, selfishness and unrighteousness.

If you are going through confinement and feel your heart or Spirit in prison I urge you to seek for Jesus. He is the key to your freedom. If you cannot or will not try to seek him for help your spirit will always be in lockdown.

The Bible tells us that whoever the son (Jesus) set free are free indeed (John 8:36). Paul talks to us in Galatians 5 about freedom.

Verse 1- It tells us that our freedom comes from Christ. So Christ has really set us free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law.

Verse 5- But we who live by the Spirit eagerly wait to receive everything promise to us who are righteous with God through faith. When you and I have that freedom we live only by the leading of the Holy Spirit to stay free through our faith.

Verse 6- As long as you put all your faith in Jesus Christ it does not matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile (Black, Caucasian, Oriental, Asian….).

Verse 7- If you feel confined, as if you have lost your freedom, ask yourself what is causing you not to be free. It certainly isn’t God, for he is the one who called you to freedom.  Spend time with people who mean you well. Individuals who are living or trying to live righteous lives according to God’s commands. We tend to adapt to our surroundings. It takes only one person to infect/spoil others (verse 9-10)

Verse 13- When you have freedom it is not for yourself (self indulgences); it is freedom to serve one another. We need to follow Jesus’ example; the whole law is simple, LOVE “love your neighbor as thyself”.

Verse16-26- Let the Holy Spirit of God lead your life, when you do what the “flesh” wants these sinful desires will produce bad results.

John 8:43 If you cannot understand the freedom Jesus came to give, you will not stop sinning, you are not following God but the devil. I truly urge each and everyone to seek out Jesus, he is the way the truth and the light.

Dear Father in heaven we thank you for the freedom we found in Jesus. We ask you to give us the strength to make it through one day at a time. Help us to understand your word and your love better. Also help us to appreciate the atonement that was given to the world. Help us to love one another and to continue to keep our eyes on the prize ahead, which is eternal life with you. Help us in our daily life to be gentle, kind and compassionate we ask in Jesus’ name.

Enjoy, God bless.
