Am I not worth it?

Am I not worth it? I have given you another day, what have you done with it? If I give you three more or three hundred more what will you do with them? You are not cultivating my vineyard. You are not bearing fruits in your season. The crows have landed on your vines, they are picking and eating your vines. Your vines are being destroyed. Am I not worth it? So why have you not been working in my vineyard? Have you forgotten me? Have you forgotten how much I love you? Have you forgotten that I choose you? I am for you so who can be against you. The hotter the battle the sweeter the victory. Do you you think I will let you fall? So what if you fall, my hand is always stretched out to pick you up. Why have you forgotten your first love and your work? Why have you left me? Am I not worth it? Am I not worth it?

Do you know the voice that makes a difference? I am slowly learning to hear that voice in my Spirit because that is the voice that will lead me. But we have to play our part in order to be able to hear that still voice in our Spirit.

Be still and know that I am God, I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth(Psalm 46:10)

This is the message I received from the Spirit today. On Sabbath I felt so distant from the Lord, heavy with cares of this life. But the message that went out made me stop and think. The pastor made it clear that you can not sit around expecting a blessing or a perfect life and His help, but we are not doing our part. He said sometimes we are wondering why God is not responding to us, but sometimes we are not reaching out with our hearts. These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me(Matthew 15:8)

Burdening down my Spirit with worry , not accepting the things I can not change. When I know why worry when I can pray. Is that not what Daniel did? When the decree went out through the land, he prayed. He did not set up late devising his own plan, no he talked to his Lord. The only Savior, because he knew that he could not save himself. When they told him to bow down and worship the statue/idol, Daniel said no not me. I only worship the true and living God. When his enemies thought they had him in the palm of their hands and he would be eaten by the lions, the Almighty God stepped in and said no not so.  Daniel's enemies were fed to the lions instead.

I am speaking to someone out there. The Lord is your shepherd and you shall not want, He lay you down in green pastures and beside the still waters for His name sake.

Let us not forget Jesus . Let us not get occupied with ourselves and the worries of this world because we have a king called Jesus, who died to save us and to give us life more abundantly. Let us pray for one another and keep reading His words and search for purpose in Him, because it is not us that made ourselves. We are here for His purpose and not to serve our selfish desires.

You understand, O lord; remember me and care for me. Avenge me on my persecutors. You are long suffering- do not take me away; think of how I suffer reproach for your sake. When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my hearts delight, for I bear your name O Lord God Almighty. I never sat in the company of revelers, never made merry with them; I sat alone because your hand was on me and you had filled me with indignation. Why is my pain unending and my wound grievous and incurable? Will you be to me like a deceptive brook, like a spring that fails? Therefore this is what the Lord says: If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me; if you utter worthy, not worthless words, you will be my spokesman, let this people turn to you, but you must not turn to them. I will make you a wall to this people, a fortified wall of bronze; they will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you to rescue and save you declares the Lord. I will save you from the hands of the wicked and redeem you from the grasp of the cruel(Jeremiah 15:15-21)

A song says: “all the way to Calvary He went for me, and now He has set me free, although I had so many sins my Jesus washed them all away and He pardoned me”

Dear Jesus we come before you as we are I pray that you will teach us how to be better citizens of the Kingdom for you, help us to find our purpose in you and deliver us from this evil world, remember those that do not know you yet, give me the Holy Spirit so I may help and do my part for your Kingdom. Amen

It's about Giving

This blog today is about what giving means to me. I am hoping to open the portal to many hearts in regards to the special needs in our world. This blog is linked with Compassion in Jesus' name www.compassion.ca  20 days of giving. Please have a look at the Christmas catalog www.compassioncatalog.htm Giving is sharing of oneself. I know that giving is a gift from God. I think God has to work upon a person's heart to give without expectations.

If it is encouraging, let him encourage; if  it is contributing to the needs of otherslet him give generously,if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.(Romans 12:8)

Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.(2 Corinthians 9:7)

I know in today's world everyone is under pressure to survive, budgeting every penny. A lot of times we want to give but we hold back, thinking we can not, because we won't have enough. We can not give to receive, then there is no blessing in it for us. If Jesus was always reluctant to give, where would you and I be?

The taste of giving is sweet words pouring from the open jar of the heart. The sound of giving is like deep cords of the cello, which lightens the heart from heaviness. The feelings of giving is wrapped in a blanket with the flickering light of a candle on a rainy night. The colours of giving is the many different creeds and nations that our Lord has made to be apart of His family. So let us learn to give with warmth and love.

For God is the one who gives seed to the farmer and bread to eat. In the same way, he will give you many opportunities to do good, and He will produce a great harvest of generosity in you. Yes you will be enriched so that you can give even more generously. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will break out in thanksgiving to God.(1 Corinthians 9:10-11)
